Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Between Us Check-In, including its website, check-ins, shared reports, guided conversations, activities, coaching features, recommendations, surveys, and subscription services. By creating an account, starting or joining a check-in, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these terms.

1. Who may use Between Us

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. Each partner must use their own account or private partner access. You may not access, impersonate, or submit answers for another person without their permission.

2. What the service provides

Between Us is a self-guided relationship check-in and practice service. It uses each couple’s responses to create shared themes, progress check-ins, guided conversations, seven-day activities, private Work on Myself guidance, an in-context coach, and tailored resource recommendations.

Between Us is not therapy, medical care, legal advice, crisis response, or a substitute for a qualified professional. It does not diagnose anyone or determine who is right. If there is immediate danger or a medical or mental-health emergency, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource.

3. Privacy between partners

Individual answers are intended to remain private. Shared reports and activities use combined themes and should not reveal which partner gave a particular answer. Some features create separate private guidance for each partner. You agree not to attempt to bypass those protections, obtain your partner’s credentials, or pressure your partner to disclose private responses.

4. Recordings and consent

You may use optional conversation-analysis features only when every person being recorded knows about the recording and freely consents. You are responsible for following the recording-consent laws that apply where each participant is located. Do not upload a recording involving anyone who has not consented.

5. Accounts and security

You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your password and private recovery links, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access. A six-character couple code is meant to connect partners; it is not permission to access another partner’s private account or responses.

6. Subscriptions, renewals, and cancellation

The paid plan is currently $14.99 per month for the couple. Either partner may create the subscription, and the active couple plan is linked to both partner accounts. Unless canceled, the subscription automatically renews each month at the price shown when you subscribe. We currently send a courtesy payment reminder three days before renewal, but you remain responsible for managing your subscription even if an email is delayed or not delivered.

You may cancel at any time through secure billing management. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless applicable law requires otherwise. Fees already charged are nonrefundable except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase. Promotional discounts are subject to the eligibility terms shown with the offer and may change for future billing periods.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to threaten, harass, surveil, coerce, deceive, exploit, or harm another person; interfere with the service; probe or defeat security controls; submit unlawful content; scrape or resell the service; or use automated access except through an interface we expressly provide.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of the information you submit. You give Between Us a limited right to process that information only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service, generate the features you request, comply with law, and enforce these terms. You are responsible for having the right to submit the content you provide.

9. Recommendations and third-party services

Between Us may link to books, articles, podcasts, tests, products, professional resources, or other third-party services. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, or results. Some links may be affiliate links, which means Between Us may receive compensation if you make a purchase; any such relationship does not increase your price.

10. AI-generated guidance and availability

Personalized guidance may be generated with artificial intelligence and can be incomplete or mistaken. Use your judgment, especially for safety-sensitive, financial, legal, medical, or mental-health decisions. Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued, and we do not guarantee a particular relationship outcome.

11. Intellectual property

The Between Us name, logo, design, software, questionnaires, reports, and original service content are owned by or licensed to Between Us and are protected by applicable law. These terms give you a personal, limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of the service or its content.

12. Suspension and termination

We may limit or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent misuse, comply with law, address nonpayment, or preserve the service. You may stop using the service at any time and may delete an active check-in through the available controls.

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or a particular outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Between Us will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

14. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the revised effective date and provide additional notice when required. These terms are governed by the laws of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
